Jazz Camp 2012
Wednesday July 18 – Sunday July 22
9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

JAZZ CAMP 2012 is for all ages, all instruments and voice. This is Sierra Jazz Society's 11th year offering Jazz Camp in Nevada City, CA. Camp is held at the Nevada City School of the Arts and is a quiet country setting conducive to learning and cooperation.

The 9 person faculty are experienced, professional musicians under the direction of Bill Douglass. Our main aim is to help you learn to improvise or develop your skills while having fun and feeling supported.

It’s always a high point for those who attend. Here are some quotes:

  • "This was a magical week."
  • I've learned so much and had fun doing it."
  • "I thought this was an inspirational experience."
  • I wouldn't change a thing."
  • "To be able to learn so much in so little time is truly phenomenal."
  • "This is my second year at Jazz Camp and there is no way I'll miss another one. Jazz Camp is so full of opportunities, it is amazing."
