Troubadour Trouble has a great following and we hope you'll join their many admirers. The concert will present music from a variety of cultures, including Latin America, West Africa, Southern France, and the good old USA, as well as a number of highly original compositions. Troubadour Trouble has played in a number of local venues and the space at Body Balance is the perfect intimate acoustic venue to hear the group and really appreciate the tonal beauty and atmosphere created by their unique sound.

Jazz Elements For Strings Workshop with Katie Wreede

Teen- Adult.
Ability level: Intermediate. Violin, viola, cello, bass.
Fee $20. Bring your instrument, a music stand, music paper, pencil. pre-registraiton required.

Katrina Wreede: Credited by jazz historian, Leonard Feather, as making the "only outstanding contribution to jazz on the [viola]", Katrina was Composer in the Schools for the American Composers Forum, created and taught "Junior Composers" for Berkeley Symphony, and has conducted workshops for schools and conferences around the country, including Nevada County Music Teachers In-service.
She has also coached many youth ensembles throughout California. A former member of the Turtle Island String Quartet, ensembles including the Ahn Trio and the David Parsons Dance Group play her compositions internationally.

Join Bill Douglass for fun music class. Children will have an opportunity to play music together using percussion instruments, recorders, flutes, and some unusual instruments for a hands-on playing experience. Bill will bring the instruments or if your child already plays an instrument, have them bring it. Fee: $15
